Great Weekend on the Hilltop: That was truly a great weekend of basketball at War Memorial Gym and the Dons came within a basket of making it a 2-0 sweep over BYU and Gonzaga.  The Thursday contest against the Cougars was a classic up-tempo game, and the Dons seemed to be playing uphill most of the night after BYU took the early lead. The Dons still trailed by eight points with less than four minutes to play, but rallied to take their first lead of the night - 84-83 with 40 seconds left. The Dons had two opportunities to win on their final possession, but shots by seniors Rashad Green and Angelo Caloiaro rimmed out as the clock wound down.

It was great environment on the Hilltop Saturday as War Memorial Gym was sold out for the Dons and the Bulldogs.
